Rotary member since 2016, primarily as Youth Director in a small club. Have worked as a Business Consultant for the last 20+ years in multiple industries across APAC and North America. Chartered Accountant, fluent in French, experienced trainer/facilitator. Outside supporting main Rotary programs, have devised and run innovative STEM programs for Primary schools and Mock Interviews for Secondary schools.

I am a professional banker with more than 15 years of experience in banking and finance. Have served diverse clients from several backgrounds and understood their needs and with my client centric approach and understanding of cultures and diversity made me one of the popular identity amongst the clients from diversified background. Empathy, Resilience and Care is what I wish to bring in to serve the community.

I was a District Governor in 2023 during the process of establishing our Regionalisation pilot. I'm comfortable in driving change and exploring new opportunities. I managed farms in NZ where I was the sole employee, so I have had to solve most problems I came up against!! I class myself as a good organiser, whether a project or conference. I'm happy to listen and help when and where required. I'm not keen on red tape and I say "just do it".

I recently retired after careers in both local government and law. My last position (18 years) was that of Partner/Director of BD Legal which operates from offices in Warragul and Traralgon (Vic). I was the D in BD Legal! I specialised in commercial dispute resolution, focussing on contractual disputes and retail lease disputes where I acted for publicly listed companies that owned and operated large shopping centres. I also acted for owners corporation (body corporate) managers in disputes and provided advice mainly relating to statutory interpretation. Throughout my legal career, I represented clients in all Courts and Tribunals and appeared in 350+ mediation conferences,

A Past District Governor and District Trainer in Rotary , Company Director with qualifications in dispute resolution I have spent many years working in the area of membership especially focussing on bringing in new members and retaining members. I have been a member of the District Membership committee and have chaired the Membership committee within my Rotary Club for 6 years increasing membership from 15 to 53, in addition to retaining the majority of members . have also used the same principles to increase membership in other organisations A strong leader, having used my leadership skills in Rotary as well as in several other organisations in both the community and work. I interact well with both small and large groups to meet their needs and achieve the required outcomes, and have good skills and knowledge in the use of IT to reach more diversely scattered audience utilising video conferencing.

I have a reasonable amount of adult training experience in computing and ClubRunner. More specifically, I have 40 years experience in computing, systems administration and programming. That includes being District 9700/9705 Webmaster for 20 years and Wollundry Rotary club of Wagga Wagga Webmaster for 25 years. My experience with ClubRunner has been at the club and district level for 18 years, and under a year using the Zone version. I enjoy training using Video Conferencing (Zoom), although it can be challenging for the trainer to present video training in such a way that is clear and understandable, and keeps everyone interested. I'm still learning from my students and attempting to keep up with the latest tech features. I am very impressed with the Specialists program and l feel it would be valuable to have a Zoom meeting of the ClubRunner Specialists.

Volunteering, and the opportunity to contribute to their communities, are touted as some of the main reasons people join, and remain, in Rotary. Why is it then that some Rotary club members enthusiastically volunteer for every project while others rarely, or never, do? I believe the secret to motivating busy Rotary members lies in focusing your efforts, proactively articulating expectations, seeking and valuing feedback, encouraging excitement and interest in the anticipated impact, prioritizing legislation, especially with social enterprises, and publicly recognizing even small progress. I have tertiary qualifications in strategic leadership and human resource management plus extensive senior management work experience within 24/7 not-for-profit healthcare services that have utilized large numbers of volunteers. I am therefore able to assist Rotary clubs in introducing effective volunteer management policies, procedures, and processes that will improve project participation, minimize potential risk, and still achieve worthwhile results.

I can assist with finding other specialists if I am not available to help with your particular issue. 2. For Districts I can conduct independent inquiries or fact-finding on non-criminal matters that fall within the Governor's purview. 3. I am Past District Governor and worked in public finance, finance and corporate governance areas of government and not for profit organisations in the Northern Territory for over 30 years. I have qualifications in Accounting, Business, Economics, Public Policy and Management. I have a strong background in governance, finance, budgeting and management. I am Rotary Leadership Institute accredited, and have conducted RLI courses, Master PRLS courses, and conducted Club Visioning and Strategic Planning with Rotary clubs. I have served as RI Finance Committee member and vice-chair, and as a member and Chair of the Joint RI/TRF RI Audit Committee. My passion is The Rotary Foundation, and I have worked hands-on with many global and district grants including scholarships, polio immunisations in India and projects in East Timor. I have served as Director and Treasurer of Rotary Foundation Australia, Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator, Endowment/Major Gift Advisor and District Rotary Foundation Chair.

I have Degrees in Economics and Law from Sydney University (1977/78) and was admitted as a Solicitor in December 1979, practicing from February 1980 to 1984. I then transferred to being a Barrister in February 1984 and have practiced continuously over the last 40 years primarily in the personal injury field, particularly workers compensation, including insurance issues. Relevant to legal, administrative, youth exchange and protection matters, I served as District 9685 Administration Advisor 2008-10; Governor 2012/13; Youth Exchange Chair 2014-18; and Council on Legislation Delegate in 2016. I have been a member of the National Insurance Committee from 2014 – 2018 and 2022 to date;. I have provided draft Club Constitutions and Bylaws to many Clubs since 2010; drafted new District Bylaws in 2012; and drafted amendments to the Probus South Pacific Constitution in 2013. I was pleased to play a part in the substantial changes made at the Council of Legislation in 2016 regarding membership and attendance. As a member of the National Insurance Committee over many years (currently Chair), I have been involved in many aspects of insurance and risk management. I see Youth Protection as an essential part of Rotary Service, enabling us to carry out our numerous Youth programs and enabling us to have appropriate insurance cover. With the combination of legal, insurance and youth exchange experience, I hope to assist Clubs in those areas.

My expertise in IT audits, vulnerability assessments, and robust internal controls ensures preemptive threat mitigation. Navigating data privacy regulations, I guide clubs to comprehensive compliance. Beyond defense, I proactively cultivate secure environments, conducting cyber maturity assessments and implementing threat hunting methods. Passionate about technology adoption, I offer skills in secure solutions, cloud migration, and personalised grant application components. Committed to collaboration, I aim to be a trusted partner, fostering cybersecurity awareness within the Rotary community. I can offer valuable training for club members on how to stay safe online. In his law firm, Michael is involved in a range of legal areas, including governance, trusts, commercial, property, Māori issues, crisis management, and dispute resolution. As the National Manager at the Multicultural Youth Advocacy Network (MYAN) Australia, I have led national initiatives that promote youth migrants and refugees' rights. I serve as the President of the Equal Employment Opportunity Network (EEON) and an Advisory Board member for Welcoming Cities, focusing on inclusive policies and environments. My work at the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission and various international NGOs, including the United Nations, has honed my skills in building respectful and safe environments for diverse communities. I have developed and presented training, created strategies and frameworks, and implemented guidelines for meaningful participation and collaboration. As District Visioning Chair, I have assisted numerous clubs in creating a 5-year strategic plan. Initially, I led a team of Rotarians who conducted in-person Visioning sessions lasting 4 hours. During COVID, with so many clubs meeting via Zoom or similar, I came up with an online version of Visioning, usually over 2 shorter sessions and using technology (Google Forms) to obtain the necessary ideas from club members. They then voted online for their preferred club goals to go to a Club Assembly for a vote. I provided the necessary resources (PowerPoint for club assembly, timeline templates, etc.) and support to make it easier for clubs to arrive at their long-term goals broken down into short-term chunks for their club to achieve each year plus on-going future support to help them measure their success.

Data Science: Assessing the Information Need, gathering data from various sources, assembling/integrating/migrating into a data platform for further use by other applications, artificial intelligence, forecasting, budgeting, and management information. IT Architecture: Assessing the Functional Need, analyzing existing application and data structures, designing/recommending a fit-for-purpose architecture. Procurement: Gathering product/service specifications, preparing a Request for Proposal, summarizing the responses, vendor scoring (financial, environmental & social) and selection, contract & service level agreement negotiations, implementation planning, monitoring of performance.

I have been a member of, or led, learning and development teams from my club through to the Zone level since 2015, focused on supporting learning for Rotaract members. For the past 5 years, I have supported clubs with governance matters, from understanding their club constitution, through to incorporation and insurance matters.

I am a very experienced management accountant having consulted to the Not for profit sector in management accounting for the past 30 years. In 2013 I set up my Company Treasury Made Easy Pty Ltd with the strategic intent to help SME's, NFP organisations and families manager their finances using Xero Cloud accounting software. I have over the past few years successfully migrated a number of Rotary clubs / Districts from MYOB or spreadsheets to Xero accounting systems. I do charge a modest fee for this work with the aim to the outcome being of mutual benefit to the Rotary Club and Treasury Made Easy Pty Ltd.

I have been an educator both professionally and in Rotary learning and development for many years at club, district, and zone level. I enjoy working with people to develop their skills and experiences. I have a high degree of IT knowledge especially with packages that boost the Rotary experience, personally and at club level.
