As a Rotary Specialist (Membership) I bring extensive experience in and a decidedly collaborative approach to establishing, developing and sustaining entities from startups to established national organisations, from community groups and not-for-profits to government agencies. In Rotary I have particular expertise, having conceived and established, working with Rotarian colleagues with complementary technical skill, the Rotary Club of Mana Tangata, a ‘master’ club with several autonomous, dispersed Chapters formed by Clubs that merged with Mana Tangata, otherwise they would for various reasons have wound down. While Chapters manage their own affairs and finances, and continue actively to serve their communities, governance and compliance is provided by the Club along with annual reporting on behalf of the Club, and its Chapters. I am already providing advice and practical guidance to several clubs and clusters as this Club model is attracting growing interest in NZ, Australia and beyond in the UK.

Rotary member since 2016, primarily as Youth Director in a small club. Have worked as a Business Consultant for the last 20+ years in multiple industries across APAC and North America. Chartered Accountant, fluent in French, experienced trainer/facilitator. Outside supporting main Rotary programs, have devised and run innovative STEM programs for Primary schools and Mock Interviews for Secondary schools.

I’ve been a Rotarian since 2019 and am a member of the Rotary Social Impact Network in District 9685. With over 20 years of experience in senior leadership roles across complex organisations both locally and internationally, I now work in leadership development and am an accredited coach with the International Coaching Federation. My expertise includes leadership, coaching, mentoring, organisational change, and strategy. I support clubs and their leaders by offering: • Advice on leadership, team building, and managing complex change • One-on-one coaching for leaders navigating stress, change, or new leadership roles • Guidance for first-time leaders facing unfamiliar challenges As the RLI Convenor for District 9685, I also provide insight into the Rotary Leadership Institute and can help clubs align their members’ development needs with the right RLI programs.

Having worked in 12 different countries with different ethnic groups and cultures, I am well placed in attracting and understanding groups from the Indian sub-continent.

I was a District Governor in 2023 during the process of establishing our Regionalisation pilot. I'm comfortable in driving change and exploring new opportunities. I managed farms in NZ where I was the sole employee, so I have had to solve most problems I came up against!! I class myself as a good organiser, whether a project or conference. I'm happy to listen and help when and where required. I'm not keen on red tape and I say "just do it".

I have been a member of Rotary for the past 26 years, in four countries and cities. They are Seoul, Korea; Shanghai, China; Bangkok, Thailand and in my present club the Rotary Club of Port Nicholson, Wellington, NZ. I am presently an Area Governor in Wellington and have served in this position for four years. Prior to that I was President of the Port Nicholson Club in 2019/20. I have also served on the District Finance and Risk Committee and the District Learning and Development Committee. This broad multi-cultural experience, and my work background, has provided me with a set of skills that I can employ to assist and support clubs. I have a passion for membership and believe attracting new members is a multi-faceted exercise and not a continual recruitment drive.

I have a range of areas that I can offer advice on including: • Running a Mental Health First Aid project • Leadership development and training • Executive coaching • Strategic plan review and guidance • Governance review and guidance • Facilitation design for strategic planning, L&D and other workshops I can also conduct investigations and fact-finding inquiries on behalf of leadership

Over 19 years I have held many roles in both my Club and at a District level. During my year as Club President we celebrated a 30 year project anniversary, hosted an international student from Brazil and introduced the Rotorua Multi Cultural Council as a “Corporate Member”. I am a confident and active user of social media for my Club and the District. I have experience in running events at a Club and District level and have a good working knowledge of many aspects of Rotary and the resources available to members through Club Runner, My Rotary, the Learning Centre and Brand Centre. As current AG I encourage clubs to use the resources available to them to help get the best from their year as president. I am invested in the success of Rotary and committed to working with the Zone to achieve the objectives of the Regionalisation Pilot.

For eight years, I have been a proud member of the Rotary, helping fellow club members navigate ClubRunner and My Rotary and guiding them through various Rotary sites. With my experience in coaching new and existing members, I have developed a passion for mentoring and coaching. As Treasurer and Secretary of our club for four years, I have gained valuable experience in Member Retention and Club Learning and Development, which I am excited to focus on now. I am confident I can use my expertise as a Membership and Training Specialist for Zone 8. I firmly believe in the power of networking and want to help Rotarians and Rotaractors achieve their goals by providing them with the knowledge they need. I am ready to expand my passion to serve and help others understand the potential of Rotary.

I’m a skilled communicator who can walk the talk with people of varying backgrounds and nationalities. This allows me to gain trust among my peers to lead others on a new path and give confidence to those struggling to find their feet. A media man by day who understands marketing and face to face communication with ease. My life experiences in the big picture of Rotary in Zone 8 will assist our team strategy to grow Rotary at clubs and districts across the zone. The way we volunteer has changed, and we can adapt with help from our Rotary Teams.

I have 25 years experience in change management of individuals and teams in large corporations. Successfully guiding them through the transition process from where they are now, and into the new era. My skills are: 1. Extensive experience in leadership, management, coaching and change management of individuals and teams. 2. Training and mentoring plans for succession planning in workplaces, this could be applied to clubs for succession planning of future leaders. 3. Workplace Trainer and Assessor experience. 4. Expertise in investment proposals, financial strategy, analysis, forecasting and control, together with risk analysis, identification and mitigation skills. 5. DEI assessments and action plans to provide improved club functioning. 6. Use of social media to connect with club members and the community. 7. Encouragement of youth participation in RYLA programs through community engagement.

As a young PDG, a Rotarian of 25 years, a proud 3rd generation Rotarian, who has Rotary in her blood, having being a past IYE in Sweden, RYLAian & past Rotaractor, I can offer a broad range of skills. I have pretty much been every role with the exception of Secretary & Treasurer, with my passion in Foundation, Conferences & Strategic Planning. I am an excellent events manager, as have done club, District & Zone events, with now being the convenor for our upcoming Zone Conference in November. From successful club events, to District Changeover’s & conferences to Zone ones, I love these all & happy to help with any knowledge I can bring to the table. Strategic Planning is another passion, as on the Rotary International Strategic Planning Committee & in my 2nd year of 4. Love the International side of Rotary, as shows how diverse our organisation is.

I am a fundraising, sponsorship and marketing specialist. I am honoured to have worked with organisations that make a difference in our community such as Auckland City Council, Hamilton Gardens, Auckland War Memorial Museum, Paralympics New Zealand, Well Foundation and Toi Ngāpuhi. I am a Board Member of YES Disability Resource Centre Services Trust, a Member of North Shore Rotary - Fundraising Director, part of the Golf (Fundraising) Committee, Fundraising Action Group, a member of Major Fundraising and Grants Portfolio Committee for Zone 8 and a Trustee for Rotary East Coast Bays Trust. I am a current member of Institute of Directors, Women on Boards and Moceanic. My greatest passion is people. I can offer my skills and knowledge including workshops and advice on fundraising and marketing to assist our Rotary clubs with their projects and fundraising efforts. I look forward to working with the Rotary clubs and together achieving results that will make a difference in our community.

I am Certified Professional Engineer (Chemical), Member of Engineers Australia and registered with the Board of Professional Engineers Queensland (Petroleum Engineer). During my career I have worked on many major projects and developed an understanding of project management including economic evaluation, budgeting and scheduling, risk assessments and RACI charts. During the implementation of the Zone 8 pilot I lead the Transfer of Functions RET and the Steering Group Change Management Team. As a Rotarian I have strong understanding of our Rotary Foundation through my role as District 9510 Rotary Foundation Chair (DRFC) for 2020-22. After serving as DRFC and attending Zone Foundation L&D three times I have strong knowledge on TRF including District, Global and Disaster Response Grants, Global Grant Scholarships, Vocational Training Teams, and Peace Fellowships. I understand grant reporting, stewardships and Global Grant applications. I am a PHS member and major donor and have strong understanding of the giving side of TRF.

Michael is a lawyer and director of Grayson Clements lawyers in Hamilton New Zealand. In his law firm, Michael is involved in a range of legal areas, including governance, trusts, commercial, property, Māori issues, crisis management, and dispute resolution. Michael's approach to legal services is consistent with the Rotary Four-Way Test: 1. Is it the truth? 2. Is it fair to all concerned? 3. Will it build goodwill and better friendships? 4. Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

I particularly seek to be a part of the solution to reversing declining membership numbers across Zone 8 through the creation of highly visible community projects which attract community appreciation, and hence enhance the desire for people to become Rotarians. I feel I bring to the table both business leadership skills, and a reasonable understanding of how the District structure model has both been successful and unsuccessful. Raising the profile of Rotary is a huge part of future success. We have a lot of great stories to tell/sell.

My experience in Rotary, Not for Profit and work roles has provided me with the skills and experience to be able to provide expert advice in the following areas: Leadership Development - my passion for leadership development, my own personal development together with practical experience gained in leadership roles. During my work roles, in Rotary regional, district and club roles and as the District RYLA facilitator and as a Rotary Leadership Institute facilitator. Club Strategic Planning - business experience together regional, district and club experience and as District Club Visioning Chair and facilitator Conflict and dispute resolution - experience in resolving disputes in business roles, during year as District Governor and when called for help and advice since.

Full background of legal requirements Foundation Administrator 9930 2022 to present Preparation of monthly returns to the Rotary Foundation on behalf of the District Management of District bank account relating to Foundation and Polio donations. Disaster Relief Grants – 9930 coordinator (Along with another PDG) of dispersing of a considerable portion of more than $350000 for the Cyclone Gabrielle Disaster Relief Fund for District 9930.

Housing Solutions From a background of technical construction expertise, we have a very high degree of understanding of the existing housing marketplace. This work has delivered a number of housing projects of national significance. 1987 joined Inner Wheel Club Port Moresby [PNG] Secretary 2 years-Treasurer 2 years. 1994- 1995 President of Inner Wheel Club. 7 Dec 1997 – Migrated to Auckland New Zealand. 1998 Joined Rotary Club Auckland Harborside. 2000 to 2006: transferred to Sydney joined Rotary Club Sydney CBD[AUST] Served as Club Service Director- Community Service Director & International Director. In 2006 returned Auckland. 2012-13 President of R C Auckland Harborside - In 2013, PDG Ron Seeto awarded “Pushing Boundaries Award”. Lead role in Peace & Conflict Resolution Forum: RI President Sakuji Tanaka’s theme “Peace through Service” organized the Peace & Conflict Resolution Forum at University of Auckland. Oct 2015 Charter New Club for D: 9920 “R C Papatoetoe Central”. July 2016 to June 2018 I was Assistant Governor and was in charge of five Rotary Clubs in Auckland. 2014 to date: Serving on District level as Chairperson Global Grant Scholarship- Peace Fellowships-INTERPLAST.
