Rotary member since 2016, primarily as Youth Director in a small club. Have worked as a Business Consultant for the last 20+ years in multiple industries across APAC and North America. Chartered Accountant, fluent in French, experienced trainer/facilitator. Outside supporting main Rotary programs, have devised and run innovative STEM programs for Primary schools and Mock Interviews for Secondary schools.

Having worked in 12 different countries with different ethnic groups and cultures, I am well placed in attracting and understanding groups from the Indian sub-continent.

I was a District Governor in 2023 during the process of establishing our Regionalisation pilot. I'm comfortable in driving change and exploring new opportunities. I managed farms in NZ where I was the sole employee, so I have had to solve most problems I came up against!! I class myself as a good organiser, whether a project or conference. I'm happy to listen and help when and where required. I'm not keen on red tape and I say "just do it".

With a career in diplomacy spanning two decades and even longer as a Rotarian/Rotaractor in Australia, Southeast Asia and the Pacific, Claire has extensive experience in inter-cultural communication, persuasive writing and editing to offer Rotary Clubs that are looking to find a partner club overseas, develop an international project or apply for a grant. She brings particular expertise in French language and culture, Indonesian language and culture, and Pacific cultures. Claire has been involved with numerous Rotary programs including RYPEN, RYLA, Youth Exchange, NYSF, MUNA and Peace Scholars, and was the founding Chair of a satellite club that now thrives as the Rotary Club of Canberra Sundowners.

With qualifications and experience in facilitation, executive coaching and leadership development I can assist with face-to-face or online workshops or individual leadership development, as well as planning workshops. I can assist with finding other specialists if I am not available to help with your particular issue. 2. Qualified and experienced in inquiries and fact finding I can offer advice on going about such things. For Districts I can conduct independent inquiries or fact-finding on non-criminal matters that fall within the Governor's purview. 3. With experience in conflict processes and management, I can offer advice and connections to assist with conflict. 4. As a qualified Company Director with experience in governance matters in Rotary and other not-for-profits, especially constitutional documents (primarily Australia, only general principles for other countries). 5. I am involved in a number of projects that required community consultation and can share tips: Mental Health First Aid courses, VTTs, community development etc.

I’m a skilled communicator who can walk the talk with people of varying backgrounds and nationalities. This allows me to gain trust among my peers to lead others on a new path and give confidence to those struggling to find their feet. A media man by day who understands marketing and face to face communication with ease. My life experiences in the big picture of Rotary in Zone 8 will assist our team strategy to grow Rotary at clubs and districts across the zone. The way we volunteer has changed, and we can adapt with help from our Rotary Teams.

I have been an active member of Rotary since 1988, serving in multiple leadership roles at both Club and District levels, including several terms as Club President, Secretary, and Treasurer. At District level, I completed a three-year term as Assistant Governor for seven Clubs. My primary focus has been The Rotary Foundation, where I served on the District Foundation Committee for many years, including three years as Foundation Administrator and nearly four years as District Rotary Foundation Chair. I am committed to Rotary Learning and Information and am always willing to share my expertise. My background includes a career in law enforcement and experience as a union delegate. I am currently serving as District Governor for 2025–2026 and as the District Governors Representative on the ROMAC Board

As a young PDG, a Rotarian of 25 years, a proud 3rd generation Rotarian, who has Rotary in her blood, having being a past IYE in Sweden, RYLAian & past Rotaractor, I can offer a broad range of skills. I have pretty much been every role with the exception of Secretary & Treasurer, with my passion in Foundation, Conferences & Strategic Planning. I am an excellent events manager, as have done club, District & Zone events, with now being the convenor for our upcoming Zone Conference in November. From successful club events, to District Changeover’s & conferences to Zone ones, I love these all & happy to help with any knowledge I can bring to the table. Strategic Planning is another passion, as on the Rotary International Strategic Planning Committee & in my last year of 4. This I am the Chair of for my last year. Love the International side of Rotary, as shows how diverse our organisation is.

I am a fundraising, sponsorship and marketing specialist. I am honoured to have worked with organisations that make a difference in our community such as Auckland City Council, Hamilton Gardens, Auckland War Memorial Museum, Paralympics New Zealand, Well Foundation and Toi Ngāpuhi. I am a Board Member of YES Disability Resource Centre Services Trust, a Member of North Shore Rotary - Fundraising Director, part of the Golf (Fundraising) Committee, Fundraising Action Group, a member of Major Fundraising and Grants Portfolio Committee for Zone 8 and a Trustee for Rotary East Coast Bays Trust. I am a current member of Institute of Directors, Women on Boards and Moceanic. My greatest passion is people. I can offer my skills and knowledge including workshops and advice on fundraising and marketing to assist our Rotary clubs with their projects and fundraising efforts. I look forward to working with the Rotary clubs and together achieving results that will make a difference in our community.

I am Certified Professional Engineer (Chemical), Member of Engineers Australia and registered with the Board of Professional Engineers Queensland (Petroleum Engineer). During my career I have worked on many major projects and developed an understanding of project management including economic evaluation, budgeting and scheduling, risk assessments and RACI charts. During the implementation of the Zone 8 pilot I lead the Transfer of Functions RET and the Steering Group Change Management Team. As a Rotarian I have strong understanding of our Rotary Foundation through my role as District 9510 Rotary Foundation Chair (DRFC) for 2020-22. After serving as DRFC and attending Zone Foundation L&D three times I have strong knowledge on TRF including District, Global and Disaster Response Grants, Global Grant Scholarships, Vocational Training Teams, and Peace Fellowships. I understand grant reporting, stewardships and Global Grant applications. I am a PHS member and major donor and have strong understanding of the giving side of TRF.

My experience in Rotary, Not for Profit and work roles has provided me with the skills and experience to be able to provide expert advice in the following areas: Leadership Development - my passion for leadership development, my own personal development together with practical experience gained in leadership roles. During my work roles, in Rotary regional, district and club roles and as the District RYLA facilitator and as a Rotary Leadership Institute facilitator. Club Strategic Planning - business experience together regional, district and club experience and as District Club Visioning Chair and facilitator Conflict and dispute resolution - experience in resolving disputes in business roles, during year as District Governor and when called for help and advice since.

Full background of legal requirements Foundation Administrator 9930 2022 to present Preparation of monthly returns to the Rotary Foundation on behalf of the District Management of District bank account relating to Foundation and Polio donations. Disaster Relief Grants – 9930 coordinator (Along with another PDG) of dispersing of a considerable portion of more than $350000 for the Cyclone Gabrielle Disaster Relief Fund for District 9930.

1987 joined Inner Wheel Club Port Moresby [PNG] Secretary 2 years-Treasurer 2 years. 1994- 1995 President of Inner Wheel Club. 7 Dec 1997 – Migrated to Auckland New Zealand. 1998 Joined Rotary Club Auckland Harborside. 2000 to 2006: transferred to Sydney joined Rotary Club Sydney CBD[AUST] Served as Club Service Director- Community Service Director & International Director. In 2006 returned Auckland. 2012-13 President of R C Auckland Harborside - In 2013, PDG Ron Seeto awarded “Pushing Boundaries Award”. Lead role in Peace & Conflict Resolution Forum: RI President Sakuji Tanaka’s theme “Peace through Service” organized the Peace & Conflict Resolution Forum at University of Auckland. Oct 2015 Charter New Club for D: 9920 “R C Papatoetoe Central”. July 2016 to June 2018 I was Assistant Governor and was in charge of five Rotary Clubs in Auckland. 2014 to date: Serving on District level as Chairperson Global Grant Scholarship- Peace Fellowships-INTERPLAST.
