Dear Amanda,
To introduce myself, I am the current president of Auckland City Rotaract in D9920.
To put it candidly, our Club is struggling. We have a small number of members and an even smaller pool of engaged members. I understand this is not limited to Auckland City Rotaract.
I have had conversations with individuals both inside and outside D9920, asking what I can do to prevent the further decline of Auckland City Rotaract. Their suggestions for growing the club include improving the club’s social media presence, which I have actioned. This has come with very limited success.
I feel I am burning myself out doing most things in the Club, and I do not wish to hold more events due to the fear of further burning out engaged members.
My question to you is: do you have any suggestions for actions that have specifically worked to grow Rotaract Clubs?
I understand this may come across as a dire-sounding email; however, I feel this is representative of other Rotaract (and Rotary) clubs I have previously engaged with.
Kindest regards,
Ross McFadzean – President, Auckland City Rotaract
