Hi Elizabeth,
I am the President of the Rotary Club of Havelock North and recently attended the Fit for Purpose Workshop in Sydney.
I have contacted a Community Trust called ‘Re-Source’ that we have had an association with for the last year or so. Their primary focus is on reducing the amount of material that ends up as landfill, by re-using it, employing a range of strategies. They are a registered Charity and operate with a Board similar to Rotary Clubs. I contacted their Manager with the following message:
“It occurred to me, and I discussed the proposal with our Board last evening, that our Club might partner with Re-source for our mutual benefit. The connection could benefit both organisations, you receiving continued financial support, and physical support from our Club members as required, and we receiving more public exposure from our alliance with your organisation,”
I have had a very positive response and would like your advice on how we should proceed.
