Kimbalee,
We have just completed stage 1 of a project to resurrect a school in the Gulf Province of PNG.
We have constructed a new toilet suite in the Lese Oalai School funded by ten Rotary Clubs, 5 Rotary Districts, and The Rotary Foundation (USD $85,000). Work was done entirely by local tradesmen, but taught, supervised and mentored by a small RAWCS team.
The toilets were opened on Saturday Nov 2nd. The array consists of 10 toilets for boys, 10 for girls and 2 for teachers/handicapped children. It replaced 6 “pit” toilets for the 1,000 or so students in this flood plain area.
The ultimate plan includes rebuilding 14 classrooms for 560 prep to grade 3 students, supplying water and power, reworking the aid post, and building teacher accommodation. The project is described on our RAWCS Page Https://directory.rawcs.com.au/41-2021-22.
I would like to run an advert for our Rotary Club in the local paper providing some of the details and inviting the local community to come to a meeting of the Club to hear more details/think about joining the club. my skills are very amateurish in creation of advertisements
I would appreciate your advice.
