Hi Gareth,
I am contacting you as a listed Website Design Specialist on the Rotary South Pacific specialist hub. You have been recommended to me by Liz McDougall – the Rotary South Pacific Public Image leader.
I am from the Como Rotary Club in Perth, WA and am the Pubic Image leader and also the President-Elect for 26/27.
The current Rotary Club of Como website (//comorotary.org) is laid out on Wordpress and is way out of date and needs a layout update.
I would like to now set it up on Clubrunner, using one of its modern standard layouts to bring its style in line with a more modern Rotary appearance – similar to that of other clubs, Rotary Western Australia District or Rotary South Pacific Region.
Are you able to assist me in setting up a new website for the Como Rotary Club on ClubRunner so that our public Image can be better presented? How can that assistance be provided to us?
I have a few initial questions about ClubRunner:
– Can an existing Wordpress site just be moved across to ClubRunner or does it involve a complete new setup?
– Does a new ClubRunner setup involve setup costs or ongoing costs for Como Rotary?
– Does someone in Como Rotary need to have a special ClubRunner Site Administrator level 30 access? If so, how is this obtained?
Please advise on your situation regarding assistance and answers to these initial questions. I am available for direct discussion by telephone at any time if that is easier – just call me when convenient to you. Note that Perth time is 2 hours behind QLD.
Thanks and regards, Ian Spencer

Gareth has written this in the hub I think
Hi Ian
Apologies as I have just come back from overseas, and also heading out again tomorrow (Monday) morning for a week, so if you would like to chat will probably need to be the week of 30 March at the earliest. However, to briefly answer some of your questions –
– I can give you some advise on setting up a website, however, I am not in a position to do the work to set it up
– re ClubRunner, website design is part of their subscription model (https://site.clubrunner.ca/page/pricing). They are an independent group, so would be best to discuss exact pricing etc with them. If you are not using the other features of the Club version of ClubRunner, then you may need to weigh up the value of paying for their services versus WordPress hosting. They can also advise on the access requirement but yes, someone will need to have appropriate access setup to manage the website. Note this must be on the Club version, not any existing District access.
– no, you cannot move a WordPress site to ClubRunner, you will need to setup directly.
As mentioned, feel free to give me a call on 0414 408 299 during the week starting 30 March if you would like to discuss further.
Regards
Gareth
