Hi Lucy, Thank you for being a Rotary Specialist and the opportunity to be able to contact you. l am a member of the Rotary Club of Highton and lead a number of environmental projects within my club and other clubs in our District 9780. One of the projects involves collecting plastic milk bottle lids from community collection points, sorting and washing some of them (and dealing with the contamination that comes with the lids), then taking the lids to either the local tech school for use in their plastic recycling subject, or to a local recycler where they are sold to the construction industry for reuse. This saves lids from landfill and from polluting our water ways l am keen to contact local dairy companies, let them know about Rotary saving their milk bottle lids from landfill, perhaps tapping into their corporate environmental social responsibility to collaborate on how to increase the impact of our project, and also inviting them to consider sponsorship of our club. As l have no experience in contacting companies and seeking sponsorship, would you be able to offer me guidance and advice on this? Thanking you, Barb Sheehan
